Foxgloves carry tall, graceful spires hung with tubular bells in pink, purple, cream and white, each intricately speckled inside, above a rosette of soft felted leaves. Perfect for shaded borders, woodland edges, cottage gardens and naturalised plantings, they bring height and drama to spots where many flowers struggle, and bumblebees work the bells constantly. Foxgloves are biennial, flowering in their second year and self-sowing readily to carry on. Grow in part shade in moist, humus-rich soil. Please note that all parts of the plant are toxic if eaten.
