Fennel Sprouts Seeds

Fennel sprouts are delicate and feathery with a clear, sweet aniseed flavour. They germinate in five to eight days and are ready in ten to fourteen, and they are excellent with fish, citrus and salads.

Fennel starts slowly, so keep the tray evenly moist and give it the full two weeks. Sow thinly and let air move through the tray to keep the fine shoots dry at the base.

• Harvest: 10 to 14 days

How to Sprout

1. Rinse the seeds and soak them in clean water for 4 to 6 hours.
2. Drain well and sow evenly across a moist growing medium or sprouting tray.
3. Keep the surface evenly moist with a light misting once or twice a day.
4. Grow in a bright location, away from direct hot sunlight. These are slow starters, so be patient.
5. Harvest in 10 to 14 days, once the shoots reach 2 to 3 inches tall.
6. Snip and use fresh.

Non-GMO and heirloom, and just as good grown on as microgreens.
