Description
Flax sprouts are small, soft and mildly nutty, usually grown as a garnish or stirred through bowls rather than eaten by the handful. They germinate in four to six days and are ready in eight to ten.
Flax seed forms a gel as soon as it meets water, so it is never soaked. Sow it dry onto a damp surface, mist lightly and let the gel do the work of holding moisture.
