Dun Pea Sprouts Seeds

Dun peas produce a sturdier, deeper flavoured shoot than green peas, with the same sweetness and a firmer bite. They germinate in two to four days and are ready in eight to twelve.

This is the pea most market growers reach for, because the shoots hold their shape and stay crisp after cutting. Soak the seed well, sow densely and keep the tray covered for the first few days.

How to Sprout

1. Rinse the seeds and soak them in clean water for 8 to 12 hours.
2. Drain well and sow densely across a moist growing medium or sprouting tray.
3. Cover with a second tray or a weighted lid for the first two to three days.
4. Uncover, move into bright light and water once or twice daily.
5. Harvest in 8 to 12 days, cutting just above the seed line.
6. Rinse and enjoy fresh.

Non-GMO and heirloom, and just as good grown on as microgreens.
