Arugula Sprouts Seeds

Arugula sprouts carry the peppery, slightly nutty flavour of the mature leaf in a much smaller package. They germinate in three to five days and are ready in six to eight, and they finish salads, pizza and eggs beautifully.

The seed is small and germinates readily, so sow it thinly and mist rather than water heavily. Grown in good light the shoots take on a deep green and the flavour rounds out.

• Light: Full sun to part shade, or bright indoor light
• Germination: 3 to 5 days
• Planting Depth: Surface sow, light cover
• Spacing: Dense sow for sprouts
• Height: 2 to 4 inches
• Harvest: 6 to 8 days

How to Sprout

1. Rinse the seeds and soak them in clean water for 4 to 6 hours.
2. Drain well and spread the seeds evenly in a sprouting tray or shallow container.
3. Keep them moist with fresh water once or twice daily. No soil needed.
4. Grow in a bright location, away from direct hot sunlight.
5. Harvest in 6 to 8 days, once the sprouts reach 2 to 4 inches tall.
6. Rinse and enjoy fresh.

Non-GMO and heirloom, and just as good grown on as microgreens.
