Basil Sprouts Seeds

Basil sprouts are aromatic and sweet, with the full perfume of the herb in a tender little shoot. They germinate in four to seven days and are ready in ten to fourteen.

Basil seed turns gel-like the moment it is wet, so it is never soaked. Scatter it dry onto a damp surface and mist gently, and the shoots come up clean and even.

How to Sprout

1. Do not soak these seeds. They form a gel as soon as they meet water.
2. Scatter the dry seed evenly over a damp growing medium or a fine sprouting tray.
3. Mist lightly once or twice a day, just enough to keep the surface damp.
4. Keep in a bright location, away from direct hot sunlight.
5. Harvest in 10 to 14 days, once the shoots reach 1 to 2 inches tall.
6. Snip and use fresh.

Non-GMO and heirloom, and just as good grown on as microgreens.
