Lentil Sprouts Seeds

Lentil sprouts are crunchy, mild and satisfying, with a fresh nutty flavour and real substance to them. They germinate in two to four days and are ready in four to six, one of the fastest crops in the whole range.

Lentils sprout well in a simple jar with a mesh lid, so no soil or tray is needed. Rinse two or three times a day and they stay sweet and clean; use them while the tails are still short.

How to Sprout

1. Rinse the seeds and soak them in plenty of clean water for 8 to 12 hours.
2. Drain well and transfer them to a sprouting jar with a mesh lid, or a cloth lined colander.
3. Rinse and drain thoroughly two or three times a day, keeping the jar tilted so no water sits at the bottom.
4. Keep the jar out of direct sunlight while the sprouts form.
5. Harvest in 4 to 6 days, once the shoots are about as long as the seed.
6. Rinse well and enjoy fresh, or cook lightly.

Non-GMO and heirloom, and just as good grown on as microgreens.
