Garden Soil

A screened, blended garden soil for building beds and borders from the ground up. It combines topsoil with composted organic matter, so it has the body to hold a plant upright and the nutrition to get it established, without the heavy clay that bakes hard by August.

Use it to fill new beds, level low spots, or top up beds that have settled over the winter. It also works well as a base layer in raised beds, with a richer mix or compost worked into the top few inches where roots do most of their feeding.

For an existing bed, spread two to three inches over the surface and fork it into the top layer rather than turning the whole bed over.
